Read aloud is one of my favorite times of the school day! The kids can learn and practice so many wonderful comprehension skills while listening to read alouds. I find read aloud time to be especially helpful for the reluctant reader because they can really participate in great book discussions! Poppy by Avi, is my all time favorite read aloud book! I also found a link to a literature unit on Poppy if you're interested!

Thanks for joining my linky party! I'm going to have to check out "Poppy." I haven't read that before. I am so jealous that the illustrator of Mercy Watson is coming to your school. I love his illustrations.
